The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has released a notification inviting applications for the recruitment of 150 Fire Extinguisher/Fireman Rescuer posts. The online application portal will be activated on April 26, 2024, and candidates can apply till May 17, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Age: 18 to 30 years as on May 17, 2024 (Relaxation in upper age limit as per government norms for reserved categories)
Educational Qualification: 10th Standard (SSC) or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board with English as one of the subjects.
Physical Standards: Height: 163 cm for men and 150 cm for women. Chest: 77.5 cm minimum expansion and 82.5 cm maximum expansion.
Medical Standards: Candidates must be medically fit for the job as per the prescribed standards.

Application Process

Interested candidates can apply online through the PCMC website from April 26, 2024.
The application fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC/EWS (Male) and Rs. 50 for SC/ST/PWD (Male) and all Female candidates.
Candidates will have to upload their scanned copies of educational certificates, caste certificate (if applicable), and medical certificate along with the online application form.

Selection Process

The selection process will consist of a written examination, physical test, and medical test.
The written examination will be objective type and will cover General Knowledge, General Awareness, Arithmetic, and Reasoning.
