The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released a notification inviting applications for the recruitment of 506 Assistant Commandant (AC) posts in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The online application portal is open from April 24, 2024, to May 14, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
- Age: 21 to 27 years as on July 1, 2024 (Relaxation in upper age limit as per government norms for reserved categories)
- Educational Qualification: Degree from a recognized university with English as one of the subjects.
- Physical Standards: Height: 165 cm for men and 158 cm for women. Chest: 81 cm minimum expansion and 87 cm maximum expansion for men and 77 cm minimum expansion and 83 cm maximum expansion for women.
- Medical Standards: Candidates must be medically fit for the job as per the prescribed standards.
Selection Process
- The selection process will consist of a written examination, physical test, and medical test.
- The written examination will be objective type and will cover General Knowledge, General Awareness, Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability, Mental Ability, English Language, and Hindi Language.
- The physical test will consist of a race, long jump, high jump, and sit-ups.
- The medical test will be conducted to ensure that the candidates are medically fit for the job.
