ICG Navik Recruitment 2024
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is a maritime law enforcement agency and an armed force of the Republic of India. It is responsible for protecting India's maritime interests and borders, including maritime search and rescue, anti-smuggling, anti-piracy, and environmental protection.
Educational Qualification: Minimum 10+2 pass with Science and Mathematics stream.
Age: 17-22 years for GD and 17-25 years for other specializations.
Physical Fitness: Must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards set by the ICG
General Duty (GD) Navik: Involved in various operations like patrolling, search and rescue, and vessel maintenance.
Communication and Information Systems (CIS) Navik: Responsible for operating and maintaining communication equipment and information systems.
Electronics and Electrical (EE) Navik: Responsible for maintaining and operating electronic and electrical equipment on board ships.
Mechanical (ME) Navik: Involved in the upkeep and repair of mechanical machinery and equipment on board ships.
Domestic (DM) Navik: Look after catering and housekeeping duties onboard ships.
Online Application: Submitting an application form online.
Written Examination: A computer-based test assessing general knowledge, reasoning, and basic mathematics.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT): Assessing physical standards like height, weight, stamina, and agility.
